Cottagecore Outfits With Jeans, Tees and Sweatshirts
Cottagecore outfits can start with the jeans you already wear. Add a botanical tee, a soft-looking knit layer and simple shoes, or pair a woodland hoodie with corduroy trousers. The nature-inspired detail gives an everyday outfit its character; you can build around one piece instead of replacing your whole wardrobe.
I started Sisterly with hoodies, then customers asked for my designs on tees, sweatshirts and more. These four outfit ideas feature pieces from our own range, with flowers and forest prints doing the decorating. If you love the cottagecore mood but spend most days in casual clothes, start with the Gardening Shirt and your favorite denim. The trousers, skirts, shoes and accessories below are styling suggestions from your wardrobe.
1. A gardening tee with jeans and an open cardigan
The outfit: a black Gardening Shirt, blue straight-leg jeans, a cream cardigan and brown loafers or canvas trainers.
The flowers and gardening gloves make this tee a good starting point if your idea of cottagecore includes the actual garden. The black background gives the pink and yellow flowers room to stand out, while ordinary blue denim keeps the outfit easy to wear for a coffee stop or a trip to the plant nursery.
Wear the cardigan open so it frames the illustration. If you like a tucked-in tee, try a shallow tuck at one side and check that the gardening gloves are still visible. They sit below the flowers and are part of what makes this design distinctive. A deep front tuck can hide them.
For warmer weather, lose the cardigan and keep the same shoes. Before choosing a color, check its available sizes on the product page: the options differ by color.

2. A botanical sweatshirt with a plain midi skirt
The outfit: a Botanical Garden Sweatshirt, an oatmeal or cream midi skirt and brown ankle boots.
This is the softer, more romantic option of the four. The sweatshirt's flower arrangement spreads across the front, so a plain skirt gives the eye somewhere to rest. Pick one of the warm colors in the print for a small accessory, such as a hair ribbon or bag, if you want to connect the pieces.
The crewneck uses a relaxed-fit Comfort Colors 1466 sweatshirt. Let its hem sit naturally over the skirt to begin with. If that feels too loose around the waist, try a small side tuck rather than pushing the entire sweatshirt into the waistband; check that the lower flowers still show.
Compare the sweatshirt size chart with a crewneck you already like. The look needs comfortable room, but “relaxed” does not automatically mean you need to size up. Prefer trousers? Swap the skirt for cream straight-leg jeans and keep the boots.

3. A pine-tree hoodie with brown corduroy trousers
The outfit: a Military Green Pine Tree Hoodie, brown straight-leg corduroy trousers, a cream tee underneath and brown boots.
Choose this combination if you gravitate toward woodland greens and earthy browns. Corduroy's visible texture adds interest alongside the tree silhouettes, without introducing another print. A cream tee showing slightly at the neckline can break up the darker colors.
The pine trees are on the back and sleeves, so think about how you will layer it. The hoodie works as the visible outer layer on a mild day; a jacket will cover much of the artwork when you need extra warmth. Choose your layer for the weather first. This is a casual cotton-and-polyester hoodie, not a rain jacket.
For the fit, compare the chest and length measurements with a hoodie you wear comfortably over a tee. If you prefer a roomy top, straighter trousers can help keep the overall shape clear. You do not need to buy every piece oversized.

4. A dark cottagecore hoodie with charcoal jeans
The outfit: a Forest Green Dark Cottagecore Hoodie, charcoal straight-leg jeans and black boots.
A darker palette makes sense if cream skirts and pale cardigans rarely leave your wardrobe. Here, the flowers supply the color: yellow, pink and white blooms contrast with the green hoodie, while charcoal denim keeps the rest of the outfit simple.
Keep your bag plain and avoid adding another busy floral pattern. The artwork is on the back and sleeves, so a large backpack will cover part of it while you are wearing it. A small shoulder bag leaves more of the back visible if showing the design is your priority.
Check the selected color's photos before ordering. Forest Green is pictured here; the product also offers Dark Chocolate, Navy and Black. The base color changes the overall mood, so choose the one that works with the jeans and boots you reach for most.

Build your outfit around the piece you will actually wear
Start with your everyday bottoms. If that means blue jeans, the Gardening Shirt is an easy place to begin. For a skirt you already own, try the Botanical Garden Sweatshirt. Brown trousers suit the Pine Tree Hoodie, while charcoal denim gives the Dark Cottagecore Hoodie a simple backdrop.
Before you order, check three things: the selected color, the garment measurements and where the print sits. Those choices matter more to the finished outfit than adding another accessory.
